Maneuvering a Dolly

During a move, a moving dolly provides much needed assistance for loading and unloading a truck, as well as transporting large appliances. They also make your move more efficient, as you can move many more items at a time than you could by yourself. Typically, a dolly is easy to push without much trouble. Unfortunately, however, you can sometimes have a lot of difficulty maneuvering a dolly, especially when you load them with lots of items.
Going up a hill
When going up a hill, always pull the dolly, instead of pushing it up the hill. This way, you make a lot less effort to move it, and also have more control where it goes. Whenever you go up a hill, and pretty much any time you load the dolly with heavy items, use bungee cords or ties so the items do not fall off.
Going up and down stairs
One of the trickiest maneuvers to make with a dolly is going up and down stairs. Some dollies have special equipment to make going up and down stairs easier, but if you do not have such a dolly, use the following tips. Whenever you encounter stairs with a dolly, face away from the stairs. Try to go down with both wheels simultaneously to maintain proper balance. Once again, use ties so the items do not fall off as you go down the stairs.
Using the following tips, you can maneuver a dolly, and use it to make your move as simple and smooth as possible.
